Heavy Logs and Freezing Days | Log Cabin Construction Part 2

In this second part of the log cabin project, the construction continues deep in the forest during cold and challenging winter conditions. With snow on the ground and temperatures dropping, the work focuses on raising the first major section of the log house. Massive logs are prepared, lifted, and carefully positioned using a large homemade counterweight system, designed to help move and place heavy timber with limited tools and manpower. This simple but clever mechanism allows the builder to safely handle logs that would otherwise be too heavy to lift alone. Step by step, the first walls of the cabin begin to take shape as each log is fitted into place with patience and precision. The process requires strength, careful planning, and a good understanding of traditional log-building techniques. Every piece of timber must align correctly to create a stable and well-insulated structure that will eventually become a warm forest home. Alongside the cabin construction, the builder also works on creating wooden sleds designed to be pulled by a horse. These sleds will be used to transport heavy logs and building materials through the snowy forest, making it possible to move large loads over rough terrain where vehicles cannot reach. The sleds are built from strong timber and shaped to glide smoothly across snow and ice. This part of the project highlights the physical demands of working with heavy logs in freezing weather, as well as the creativity required to solve practical problems in the wilderness. Through determination and traditional craftsmanship, the log cabin slowly begins to rise from the forest floor, bringing the dream of a self-built home one step closer to reality. 🎥 Subscribe to our other channels: --- Lesnoy: https://www.youtube.com/@lesnoy --- Lesnoy_Craft: https://www.youtube.com/@lesnoy_craft8607 --- Lesnoy_Near the fire: https://www.youtube.com/@lesnoy_nearthefire998 --- Lesnoy_Offline: https://www.youtube.com/@lesnoy_offline3431 --- Lesnoy_Badger: https://www.youtube.com/@lesnoy_badger1544 --- Outdoor builder: https://www.youtube.com/@Outdoor_builder --- Bogdan in the forest: https://www.youtube.com/@bogdanintheforest4382 --- Wood wolf: https://www.youtube.com/@Wood_Wolf --- The one who builds: https://www.youtube.com/@Theonewhobuilds-kz7tr --- Alone with nature: https://www.youtube.com/@Alone_with_nature_vova --- Woods improvisation: https://www.youtube.com/@Woodsimprovisation 💬 Write in the comments which of our videos you liked the most! #Building #Lesnoy #Bushcraft
